It was a treat hearing the sounds of the nest tree, especially the vocalizations of the eagles.Your journey starts through the Rainforests of the World on a new walkway overlooking the endangered giant Amazon River otter exhibit before entering the pyramid at the canopy level, letting you explore the rainforest from the air and giving you a better opportunity to spot the birds, sloths, white-faced saki monkeys, cotton-top tamarins and other free-roaming tree-dwellers.The canopy walkway also includes one of Moody Gardens®' most beloved features - a walk-in butterfly exhibit that lets you mingle with several species of beautiful butterflies. As you exit, you'll walk along a full wall dedicated to the ground-dwellers of the rainforest, including a Damaraland mole rat, Brazilian rainbow boa and a cobalt blue tarantula, completing your journey from the treetops to the very floor of the breathtaking Rainforest Pyramid®, only found at Moody Gardens®.For more information, and to purchase tickets to the Rainforest Pyramid® click here. The rainforests of Central and South America are next, filled with colorful macaws perched near the flowing waterfall and the majestic spotted ocelot.

In 2016, ‘The First Lady’ laid her first egg on February 10th, and laid her second egg on February 14th early in the morning. President & The First Lady protected their eggs from the ice and snow, huddling close to one another so the eggs would stay warm.
We were all overjoyed with the arrival of two little eaglets, DC4 (Honor) who hatched on March 29, and DC5 (Glory), who arrived the following day, March 30.
The result is a diverse melting pot of cultures, languages, foods, and people.
The Country sits between two oceans, the Pacific and Atlantic.
