It’s easy for teens to get caught up in the world of dating, it really is a big deal in any teenager's world.

Those experts must all have lots of money or access to free babysitters because there’s just no way we can afford to pay someone the going rate to watch the kids every 2 weeks. We both know that the main point of spending this kind of time together is to return home with a lot of new knowledge about one another.

What we do instead is wait until all the kids are at school on a Monday or a Wednesday and we set out on a midday date. We like to head to a favorite restaurant and split a sandwich and an order of 4-cheese spinach dip. And when we head home we know we’ve had a good date if we’ve learned things about the other that we didn’t know before. But it’s not at all how we gauge the success of our dates.
