Microsoft outlook shared calender not updating
STATUS: WORKAROUND To access the calendar shared with your Office 365 for business account, you’ll need to accept the invitation from Outlook on the web .If you've already clicked the Accept button in Outlook 2016, you won't be able to re-accept the invitation in Outlook on the web.
If you've been granted permissions to edit a calendar, you won't be able to edit or add items immediately after accepting.Existing shared calendars will not be upgraded as part of this change, and they will continue to sync only to Outlook on the web, Windows, and Mac.Only shared calendars that are accepted after these changes are released will sync to mobile phones. We're working to make it possible to edit shared calendars in Outlook 2016 for Windows. To edit a shared calendar, go online to your own calendar, open Calendar for Windows 10, or use a mobile device. Last updated: May 2, 2017 ISSUE When you try to accept a shared calendar using your Office 365 for business account in Outlook 2016, you might receive the "Something went wrong" error or your sign-in might fail. For detailed instructions, see Reconnect Outlook 2016 or Outlook 2013 to for uninterrupted email access.
Last updated: May 2, 2017 Currently, you can't use Outlook on Windows to edit calendars that are shared with your account, even if you've reconnected your account to Outlook.
Or is the download in the OST of Shared Calendars done on access basis only?
1- If the user didn’t have cached mode enabled for Shared Folders, but already had 10 calendars configured on their profile, and then if later on we enable cached mode for Shared Folders, these 10 calendars will be “downloaded” onto the OST file when users access these only – not all at once.
One of my colleagues hasn't KB2691905 installed, and for him it is working.
This update does show in my update history, though not in my list of installed updates, so I don't have the easy uninstall option.
We're currently investigating how to enable instant syncing in these situations.
