The gala will be suitable for new/novice swimmers U12s in the AM session & those intermediate swimmers looking for PBs in the afternoon.
In 2015 almost 5,000 runners from 350 different companies took part in the event, many raising money for the official race charity Seeing is Believing, which is an initiative to help tackle avoidable blindness around the world.
All funds raised will be matched by Standard Chartered pound for pound.
I would like to do some swimming to keep the load off my foot (in addition to the foot-friendly CF workouts, of course! I would like to lose as little running capability as possible during recovery by using swimming workouts as a sub (I realize it's not a perfect substitute, and that I will still have to rebuild running capability somewhat).
But I'm just curious how far one would have to swim to approximately equal the difficulty of a medium-paced 4- or 5-mile run.
